Many secular people, some even supposedly-religious heretics and/or those apostates who presume they know about the genuine Christian religion based upon canonical Scripture, have both strange and wrong ideas about what constitutes an authentic Biblical Christian evangelical, and thus bonafide Christian evangelicals as a whole.
In other words, many in the network media simply "don't have a clue" what a real orthodox-Christian evangelical is, what they believe, and what they want in a political candidate.
It should be obvious, by the very definition of the word, that "evangelicals" are those who "evangelize" - which term, for Christians, has to do with proclaiming and publicizing not merely "the gospel" but also the laws and doctrines such is contextually related to regarding Holy Writ.
For example, I heard one broadcaster state that "christian" "evangelicals" are divided as to whether or not there should be love of the sinner but not the sin; whether or not one should hate the sin but love the sinner; whether there should be reconciliation and tolerance toward those alleged to be "born" homogay (i.e. effeminate) and under congenital biological compulsion to engage in same-gender sodomy unions; whether there should be forgiveness and acceptance of immodestly-misdressed fornicators who accidently went too far and decided to regrettably choose the option of committing abortion homicide to end an inconvenient, costly, and embarrassing pregnancy.
Another broadcaster said that the sexual social issues are not as important to "christian" "evanglicals" as beating Obama in the November 2012 Election, and/or creating jobs for the unemployed, reducing inflation, going green to stop global warming, maintaining welfare and entitlements, plus withdrawing from expensive and needless wars fought overseas which needless intrusions into particularly islamic sovereignties both anger the adversaries and endanger our national security.
Mitt Romney is a slick and handsome non-trustworthy expert at mouthing carefully-omitted words of audience-pleasing diversion and inclusiveness without giving controversial and flagrantly-polarizing specifics on the details of sensitive sexual social issues like abortion and homosexuality. He is, in that sense, deceitfully tricky in attempting to be all things to all people especially pertaining to sexually-oriented topics.
To wit, when citing his so-called support from "right-to-life" groups in Massachusetts as an alleged proof of his "pro-life" stance (after years of copious You-Tube-documented televised-campaign pro-abortion-choice interviews), he fails to reveal that his words-only rhetoric he has uttered and even his signing some legislation apparently concordant with "pro-life" intentions belies the fact that he probably knew that his whitewash show would be overturned by a higher authority in his state (thus pacifying the abortionists) and then federally . . . and which he, as a political-opportunist flipflopping windsniffer, would not appeal to a higher court to actually achieve an overriding anti-abortion outcome.
Romney (and even homogays-tolerant Rick Santorum, for that matter) has been more open and vocal in his speech to not discriminate against homoperverts, even though he - illogically - says that he does not support homogay sexual unions or "marriages" -- although, again, he has done nothing and will do nothing to pursue in appeal to higher authorities what it takes to disallow such abhorrant and obnoxious sodomy pacts.
Newt Gingrich was no draft dodger, because although he registered with Selective Service, he legitimately got a student deferment as many honorable patriots did who decided to serve the military needs of their country in intelligent and scholastic ways other than deliberately playing bullets-and-explosives russian roulette under bullyboy inept and insensitive field commanders who considered troops under them mindless expendible robots.
RINO-endorsed Romney is another Bob-Dole and John-McCain retread, and it is sincerely hoped that Republican Party hierarchy has learned the lesson that compromising moderates simply don't win elections for them, and in the futile attempt to woo the immoral majority with piss-with-pop/poop-with-pudding moderates into one big tent, they deplorably fall far short of exciting anyone to fervent activism and becoming enthusiastic for the type of lukewarm mediocrity that Scripture says results in being spit out of the mouth in disgust.
Romney was not the only one to be involved in a business. Newt had his excusions in commercial ventures as well - minus the questionable Mitt-type overseas-bank-account tax-avoidance shenanigans.
And Gingrich has the advantage of not simply governing a state, but in dealing successfully with higher-powered U.S. senators and U.S. representatives in both houses of Congress -- a far more difficult task than simply state governorship. Indeed, Rick Perry, the governor of Texas, at least on par with Romney as far as gubernatorial know-how is concerned, decided that the delicate and substantially-successful congressional balancing endeavors of Gingrich was much more of a asset and credential for presidential qualification, in or out of Washington.
Newt's past sexual history and marital events might seem sort of kinky and even dirty to gutter-minded anti-sexuality/anti-erotica legalistic hypocrites who would have liked to or even themselves secretly did what Newt is assumed to have done (without the .jpg pics and .mpg videoclips to prove it).
Moreover, Gingrich has a proven record of actually being against porn, actually being against homogay unions leading to species extinction, and actually being against abortion homicide also leading to species extinction . . .whereas who-knows-what-Mitt's-history-of-porn/fornication/adultery-is Romney (who is yet deceptively and ultimately "choice" by subtly-devious default) has in essence done more dastardly criminal sin to indirectly conspire to murder pre-born babes by supporting planned-promiscuity/planned-parentlessness "choice" than Newt ever did according to all the defamation-intended sexsationally-blattered gossip of rumored concubinage-like heterosexual experiences.
Romney diverting attention off himself by criticizing and condemning Barack Hussein Soetoro for Obama's/Pelosi's/Dodd's/Reid's/Biden's/Hoyer's socialistic individual-mandate tyranny and economic incompetence is no excuse to thus support Mitt, and even Romney himself (if you listen to who of the GOP candidates he does not mention by name but which political party he claims to attach himself to and wants to make darn sure they do all they can to prevent Obama's re-election) admits that any of the other GOP presidential candidates than himself would be preferable to Obama . . . as delusions-of-grandeur legalistic-and-judgmental accusator Santorum rants on and nitpicks about and against everyone other than himself.
Of course, we all can hardly wait to hear the next John-King-type media interrogator in the next GOP debate asking Newt whether or not he gets, and Callista gives, good fellatio.
